  • Banners and Yard Signs are Perfect for Advertising: Here's Why

Whenever a business that sells goods/services develops a new product or service, company owners need to find the best way to promote their product. That's when proper marketing and product promotion becomes crucial. It can be difficult - which is why we recommend using vinyl banners and coroplast signs to do the work for you.

You're probably wondering - why custom vinyl banners? Aren't they a little old-fashioned?   It's true, banners have been around for a long time - and that's no surprise. Why? Because vinyl banners are proven to be one of the most effective methods for advertising. Typically, our banners are made with the best latex ink and vinyl that money can buy. Our customers love them because they're cost-efficient, reusable, durable, and are usually large enough to gain attention. Banners are typically eye-catching, attention-grabbing, and visually appealing. A banner (if made correctly) can spread the word about your business to many potential consumers.

Here's an example of a large banner we've made in the past: outdoor_vinyl_banner_autotrader

So yes, vinyl banners may be an old-fashioned method of advertising, - but they're definitely not going anywhere anytime soon!

play-hard-diggerland-usa-large-banner-durable-banner-cheap-banner-large-vinyl-banner-event-banner So banners are great - what about coroplast signs? Coroplast yard signs are also a great alternative for banners, and are very effective for advertising new products and services. They are made of durable corrugated plastic instead of vinyl, and are often placed in front of homes and businesses. Even though they are much smaller than banners, they can still serve the same purpose and are equally as effective for promotions. Coroplast signs are also cost effective, weather-resistant, and eye-catching.

Here's a sign we've made to advertise the local farmer's market:

Banners and coroplast signs are great ways to market your products and services to local consumers - at a low cost too!

  • Grommet Em' For Your Convenience

    What are grommets?

Ggrommetsrommets are small metal rings that are attached to a variety of signs and banners made out of materials such as vinyl, fabric, coroplast and many more. Available in many different shapes and size, these grommets play as reinforcements to protect holes from ripping. Materials, such as vinyl, can get heavy when used for large banners; therefore, grommets are a necessity to avoid one's sign from ripping when hung. Each grommet is made out of two pieces. Each piece is placed in between the material of choice and pressed together to form a stronger bond. We highly recommend ordering grommets with your banner if your banner is heavier in size or for permanent, long lasting purposes. Doing so, you won't face any rips or tears in your material!

    Grommets banner4sale

Here at Banner4sale, we are all about precision and delivering with quality. When grommeting our banners, we make sure each grommet is precise and secured on properly. There are many different materials for grommets; however, we like to use metal because it is the most durable, leaving the chances to rip little to none. We can assure you that grommets will also help keep your banner looking sleek and clean because they will be equally placed along the edges of the banner. Check out this fairly large vinyl banner we put together for Xtreme Party World. Imagine if they had not ordered grommets, hanging this big boy up would have been an utter pain! If you're contemplating before placing your order, grommets or no grommets, we suggest getting them for your convenience. Just remember, banners and signs are meant to be hung up. Better to be safe than sorry!

  • The June Tune - Banners for Summer Celebrations

Alright, so there’s some major celebrations coming down the pipe this summer, and they all start in June. Here at Banner4Sale, we’ve got all kinds of banner material to adjust to your needs, be it outdoors, inside, against a wall, whatever!

    Father’s Day

“The Day of the Dads” is Sunday, June 16th, and that’s the one day of the year that a dad can sit back, relax, and enjoy his plethora or cheesy ties and weird runny eggs that his child cooked. Awww.

But not all fathers are going to be home for Father’s Day. There’s a lot of them overseas as well, and it doesn’t have Father’s Day to make them a banner. Create a custom banner that’ll welcome him home with open arms, something that you can keep to remember the moment by as well.

If Father’s Day is a huge family affair for your kin, then make a big party banner to celebrate dads in your family. I have an uncle whose birthday happens to fall on Father’s Day this year, so we’re doing a big two-in-one party for him and my dad.

The next big June celebration are the countless graduations going on. Holy crap.

As I said in the previous post on Grad Banners, there are some schools that don’t like the constant noise-makers during the name-reading and walking, so creating a custom banner or poster is actually preferred! Have your child feel special on their milestone day by creating a great banner that the whole graduating class can see. And maybe embarrass them. Just a little.

    Fourth of July

Alright, so this isn’t in the month of June, but May and June is when you start planning, of course.

Fourth of July. Big deal. There’s fireworks, barbecues, beach parties...the whole nation stops for a night to celebrate our awesomeness.

There will be parades. There will be parties. And the number one tool for each of these events is advertisements. Is you club in the neighborhood parade? Create a custom banner for parade goers to know who you are.

What I love to go to are movies in the park. Giant projector screens, usually hosted by Time Warner Cable and other providers. Plan a movie viewing in a park or in your backyard and invite the neighborhood. We have a plethora of outdoor banners for your event, guaranteed to last above and beyond.

  • Easter Banners

Ah, Easter. Yet another chocolate holiday, the bane of every dieter.

But it's still a fun and family-friendly holiday, full of games, and feasting, and general mayhem. Easter is also a time that many people throw parties. You've got Easter Egg Hunts in the community, Easter dinners, etc. So, why not have use a banner to showcase your upcoming Easter festivities?

    Origins of Easter

For Catholics & Christians, and other denominations, Easter is the celebration of Jesus rising from the grave, three days after his crucifixion. It's also considered a "moveable feast", meaning it doesn't fall on the same day every year. Which is why this year it's on March 31st.

But what does the Easter Bunny have to do with a Catholic holiday?

Nothing, actually. The rabbit is a symbol of new life and fertility in many cultures around the world. In 1680, a German author wrote the first story about a hare laying eggs and hiding them in gardens. When the legend was brought to the United States by German immigrants, children started making nests for the eggs, which gradually turned into colorful baskets. While colored eggs are still apart of the holiday, the little gifts have also changed to chocolate and other sugar treats.

    Easter Banner Ideas

Alright, now that we've got the history out of the way, let's take a look at some possibilities for Easter banners.

    Can't Take a Yolk

Eggs are symbolic of Easter, that's a given. If you have an Egg Hunt in mind for your community, or just your own gaggle of kids, than create a banner with plenty of egg design. Perhaps, you can also hold an egg-decorating contest at your local farmer's market, or an egg toss challenge for couples. Or you can do what the White House does and use the lawn for an Egg Roll.

    The Easter Bunny

The quintessential symbol of Easter. If he's not everywhere on your banner, it may not fly in your community. What's great about an animal mascot for a holiday, is that you can design him however you like: make him cute, make him punk, make him anyway you want to. Need inspiration? Check out that latest Dreamworks film "Rise of the Guardians" and take a look at the Easter Bunny. He's pretty awesome.

Alright, well that's all for now! Check back throughout March as I explore more symbols you can put into your banner designs, from St. Patrick's Day to Easter. :)

  • "Is it Fire-Proof?" A History Lesson in Vinyl

Just like any other business, we sometimes get strange questions from customers and friends. And just like Andy said in our last post, not a lot of people are aware of how our printing works. A friend of mine jokingly asked if our banners were fire-proof: I laughed at first, but now I'm thinking, huh, that's a good question. All of our banners are printed on white vinyl and for good reason. Join me friends! Let’s explore the Great Mysteries of Vinyl!!

    WITH INDIANA JONES!!!!!.....Not really

    What is vinyl?

Vinyl is a malleable plastic resin that was invented in the 1920’s, when scientists were experimenting to create something that was simple, durable, but still cheap to manufacture. Thus, Polyvinyl Chloride was born. it fire-proof?

Yes. Generally. I mean, unless you purposely throw into a beach bonfire, or burn it in some sort of effigy, your banner will be fine. You can accidentally drop it by an open flame, and the relative toughness of vinyl prevents long term fire damage. If anything, it’ll smell burnt and might look a little singed on the edges.

Vinyl is chemically resistant to moisture and humidity. This means they were designed to withstand most weather conditions, besides a blizzard or a hurricane. Direct sunlight for long periods at a time is the top reason most banners fade out within months. This plastic resin can easily retain a long life, granted you don’t take a hacksaw to it accidentally. (Construction accidents happen!)

AND did you know that vinyl is also recyclable?

Just like other plastics, vinyl can be recycled! Any unused vinyl banners can easily be transformed into tomorrow’s traffic cones, hoses, PVC pipes, flooring, roofing, boots, binders...the list goes on. Not only does it require less natural resource to make, but also leaves less of a carbon footprint.

The surprising factor is not everybody is recycling their used vinyl material. So, if you find yourself no longer needing that banner we made you, do your part for a greener America and recycle it! Check out your local recycling centers to see if they have deposits specifically for vinyl material.

No Indy, vinyl goes to the recycling bin
