  • Coroplast Vs. PVC, which is better?

pvc_vs_coroBeing successful as a business is all about standing out from all the other similar brands out there. Even though technology has grown and many businesses profit through internet sales, bricks and motar businesses are still extremely successful. Therefore, brands should strive to make themselves noticeable, even if it comes down to the nitty gritty.

A simple and great way to make your brand noticeable is through signage. To attract new customers, outdoor and indoor signs will definitely increase brand exposure. According to Brandongaille.com , it states "35% of people wouldn’t even know your business was at its location unless you have a sign displayed," which shows how much signs can be to your advantage.

To produce a sign that is eye-catching and unique in content, you got to think about a few things: the graphics (content), the material, and the placement of the sign. Do you know the difference between sign substrates? For event centered signage, the two that come to mind are Coroplast or Sintra (expanded pvc). But which is right for your needs and budget?coroplast_compared_to_pvc

Sintra (or expanded pvc) is light, very smooth, and prints with a detailed matte finish that is ideal when you want to take your event level up a notch. This material is flexible and works well indoors in frames or outdoors in a-frame stands.

Coroplast is light, strong, weather resistant, and very economical. It is often referred to as "plastic cardboard" because of it's fluted design much like cardboard. It's great for outdoor use and the flutes can be used in conjunction with inexpensive wire stakes we offer on our webpage than can be stuck in the ground. Ideal for extended temporary uses.

The material depends completely on preference and purpose. In the photo above, you can see the difference between coroplast and PVC.  Be sure to remember, whatever material you choose, light absorption could damage your sign. Hope this was helpful!

  • A Run Through Redlands

a run through redlands bannerA Run Through Redlands is an annual marathon that started on March 25th, 1984. This run started as a result of combining Redlands Community Hospital "Run for Life," the Redlands Daily Facts5k and 10k run, and Kiwanis Club Run. To bring together a bigger and better event, the three Redlands events joined together to create something the whole city can participate in. Last year, this annual event had a huge turn out of 2,100 runners. This year, A Run Through Redlands will be held on Sunday, March 6, 2016. It is is open for everyone of all ages, even people on walkers and wheelchairs. The three courses will take you on a beautiful Redlands tour of its historical homes and amazing views of the San Bernardino mountains. 5k is the easiest run, which is majority flat ground; however, the 10k does have a few hills because it will take you through Smiley Heights, a site you don't want to miss. If you're interested in exploring the city of Redlands, this run is perfect for you!

Big events like these are nothing without some signage! Trust us, signs are a great investment if you don't want a group of lost people, on a hectic day. That's why we love working with our clients to bring together amazing events, like A Run Through Redlands. Banner4sale had the opportunity to create custom coroplast signage and directional signs that displayed the distance of each course. These signs are going to be put up all around the city.  We made sure each sign was in bright colors and stood out, making it convenient for the runners. These signs are definitely going to come in handy for the run! Good luck to all the runners!
