This is an all purpose, everyday banner material that is good for almost every occassion. It can be used for both indoor and outdoor events. 13 oz. Matte Vinyl is popular because it is a low-cost durable material that looks great when printed on. It is best suited for outdoor use because it is a tougher material that is still pretty light. If you are looking for a great everyday banner material that will be good for any event banner with high quality graphics and sharp color, then choose our 13 oz. Matte Vinyl.
As the title suggests, 15 oz. Super Smooth Vinyl is a much smoother material when compared to others like 13 oz. Matte and 20 oz. Block-out. We recommend 15 oz. Super Smooth material for the tradeshow and high quality indoor printing. For example, photographer backdrops and indoor convention wall banners look amazing on Super Smooth. A quick glance at the material close-up will show that the vinyl pattern in the material is ultra-fine when compared to 13 oz. and 20 oz. Our 15 oz. Super Smooth is also a block-out material that will not let light show through – great for blocking afternoon sun and indoor background-lighting or glare. If you look at the edge you can see a fine black line which is the center of the material to ensure block-out capability. Lastly, the super smooth surface makes all colors more vibrant and all graphics super clear and ultra-crisp.
Our 20 oz. Block-out vinyl material is the heaviest banner material we carry in stock. Like the title suggests this material is heavy-duty block-out material, meaning no light will show through. Most people use this material for outdoor banners but it can also be used indoors as well. 20 oz. block-out vinyl has a smooth touch and feel and it is more rigid when compared to the 15 oz. Super Smooth material (also a block-out material). Like the 13 oz. matte vinyl, 20 oz. block-out vinyl has a small pattern weaved into the vinyl. If you look close-up you can see what can only be described as a waffle-cone like pattern. On the 13 oz. matte the pattern is rougher to the touch but the 20 oz. still maintains a smooth feel. If you look at the edge of the 20 oz. Block-out vinyl you can see a tiny black line in the center of the material, this is what ensures the block-out characteristic.
Mesh Extreme is a very popular outdoor banner material because it is light-weight and allows wind and air to flow through the material. Some people use it for trade show booth wraps because they like the way mesh looks but most of the time this material is used for outdoor projects like street banners, pole banners and fence wrapping. As the title suggest, the mesh material has a bunch of tiny holes in it and when compared to other non-mesh vinyl, the graphics are nowhere near as clear. However, the added advantages of less weight, no wind-slits required, and semi-transparent appearance are popular attributes that many people prefer for certain banner projects.
Eco Display Material is by far the coolest material we offer because a) it's certified eco-friendly material and b) it's made from recycled water bottles. The material itself is thin and cloth-like. It works really well for hanging banners and POS/POP wall graphics and even trade show table top cover/displays. Due to its cloth-like structure it is best suited for indoors, trade shows and conventions. This is the perfect material for companies and consumers who are conscious about Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives.
Gossyp is an eco-friendly digital print material. It is made from natural cotton and rubber, which makes it 100 percent biodegradable and compostable. Due to the clothlike smoothness of the material, it allows for high-definition printing while maintaining a petroleum and PVC free footprint. Gossypcan be disposed of by composting to create natural fertilisers to help improve soil quality. Awesome!
Corrugated Plastic is the most popular material used for outdoor signage, especially yard signs. It is light-weight and durable and if taken care of can last a really long time. Coroplast is the brand we use because it is the best. All corrugated plastic is has what are called Flute(s) lines that run the length of the entire sheet. These flutes are hollow areas in the material that allow for the light-weight yet rigid construction, and the hollow holes are how the yard sign and other stands are inserted in the finished sign. Due to the makeup of the material, there are visible flute lines on the face so all artwork will show the lines, but from a distance this is not noticeable.
Expanded PVC is another popular material used in signage and POP/POS marketing collateral. Unlike corrugated plastic, Expanded PVC has not hollow flutes or air holes in the material. It is solid PVC all the way through. This makes it extra durable and an excellent material for custom signage, especially custom cut-out shapes. Like any other large format substrate, expanded PVC can be used both indoors and outdoors. It is heavier than corrugated plastic but a lot higher in quality so the difference in weight is worth it for most customers. The print surface of expanded PVC is smooth like paper and graphics look absolutely amazing when printed directly on it.
